Institute Partnerships

Helping Georgia Tech increase civic responsibility to improve local neighborhoods and K-12 schools

Our Mission

We assist the Georgia Institute of Technology in building and implementing a community engagement plan for the campus that will allow the institution to exhibit civic responsibility in local community outreach and K-12 enhancement.

K-12 Outreach

Georgia Tech recognizes its responsibility to enhance the curriculum of K-12 schools, expecially in math, science, and technology, in order to ensure that all children can have the knowledge necessary to succeed.

Institute Partnerships works closely with six priimary and secondary schools that are near the Georgia Tech campus. By pooling the resources of already existing programs and groups on campus, Institute Partnerships can fulfill the needs of these schools for tutors, technology assistance and higher-education interaction.

To provide tutors, Institute Partnerships has encouraged numerous student groups to volunteer with K-12 students to serve as mentors and tutors. Also, we have partnered with CEISMC (Center for Education Integrating Science, Math, and Computing) programs.

Community Outreach

Institute Partnerships works closely with local neighborhood organizations to help improve and empower various communities. Institute Partnerships has worked on successful projects with the English Avenue Community, English Avenue Neighborhood Association, English Avenue Community Collaborative, Centennial Place, Antioch Urban Ministries, Inc. and Vine City. By leveraging the resources of Georgia Tech, Institute Partnerships can help nearby communitites and local K-12 schools with their mission of improving the quality of life for residents. Whether it's job fairs, technology assistance, entrepeneurial consulting or K-12 tutoring, Institute Partnerships can help communities that are experiencing renewal and revitalization.
